We provide services that support students and families in practical, meaningful ways—from free meals and counseling to extended care, transportation, and community-based support.
After School Care
Our extended day options give families flexibility while offering students continued learning and care.
- Aftercare provided in partnership with 21st Century until 5:45pm (small fee)
- Bus transportation provided to the Boys & Girls Club after school
Counseling
Students and families have access to mental health and wellness support through our partnership with MiSide, which offers counseling and therapy services on site.
Family Resources
We partner with local organizations to provide essentials and enrichment opportunities for students and families.
- Free backpacks, coats, hats, and gloves
- Vision care through Vision to Learn (includes free screenings and glasses)
- Community service and enrichment opportunities through Avalon Village Homework House, Youth Enrichment Services (YES), Legacy and Literacy, and more
- Mobile Library services for students in grades K–3 through the Detroit Public Library
- Mobile Dentist
Food Services
Nutritious meals are prepared on-site and served daily, with free breakfast and lunch available to all enrolled students.
Tutoring & Summer School
Daytime and Afterschool tutoring are available to support student learning and academic growth, as well as Summer School.
Transportation
We help students get to and from school safely with yellow bus service available through Triumph Transportation.
